Just over a week ago, a gorilla named Bokito escaped from the Rotterdam Zoo. During his short vacay from behind bars, Bokito attacked a female, presumably because she had made frequent eye-contact with him (never make eye contact with an escaped gorilla - you heard it here first).
In response to the attack, health insurance company FBTO (with the help of DDB) distributed over 2,000 BokitoViewers - i.e.; see-though cardboard sunnies with strongly averted eyes printed on the front - to zoo-goers this week. In accordance with their brand positioning of "always offering simple solutions," the shades were a surprisingly tongue-in-cheek effort to quickly interact with pop culture. Also surprising: the press pictures, including that one in the bottom right corner. Smoking + Health Insurance = A totally OK association. In Germany, anyway.
